PATISHAPTA PITHA RECIPE
There are many
types of pithas. Today i will show you how to make Patishapta Pitha.Pitha is a
type of rice cake from the eastern regions of the Indian
subcontinent;
common in Bangladesh and India.
Pithas are primarily made from
a batter of
rice flour or wheat flour, which is shaped and optionally filled with sweet or
savory ingredients. When filled, the pitha's pouch is called a khol (literally
"container") and the fillings are called pur.
INGRIDENTS :
- Khoya kheer ( mawa )
- Sandesh [ dry sweet ]
- Sugar
- Milk
- Rice flour
- Maida
- Jaggery ( gur )
HOW TO MAKE :
- First heat a pan at a low flame and add mawa and half cup milk and make a thick mixture then again add a another half cup of milk and mix well to make a thick mixture. Then add a 2 tsp sugar and mix well and keep a side to make a cool.
- Next step in a bowl to make a mixture with 1 cup rice flour , half cup maida, 2 tsp sugar, 1 and half cup milk all ingredients mix together and make a batter , not so much thick batter. Then add jaggery (gur) .
- Heat a pan at a low flame and add a little bit batter and add a sweet mixture at the corner and make it roll. Then its ready.
