Katla acher Kalia
Hi! Friends,
today I will show you how to make Katla macher kalia. It’s a most common dish
in Bengal and of course very delicious and tasty recipe. You can try it at home
and I am sure you love it.
Ingredients
:
- Fish
- Turmeric powder
- Salt
- Lemon juice
- Onion
- Ginger
- Garlic
- Tomatoes
- Green chili
- Coriander leaves
- Cumin powder
- Cumin seeds
- Water
- Mustard oil
How to
make :
- At first marinate fish with turmeric powder, salt, lemon juice. Now heat mustard oil in a pan and fry both side of fish in golden brown and keep aside.
- Next make a fine paste of 1 onion, 6 garlic cloves, ½ inch ginger, 1 tomato, 6 green chili and keep aside.
- In same oil add 1 tsp cumin seeds and fry little, then add fine paste and fry well at least 3 mins. Then add little water and again fry all the spices at least 3 mins.
- After 3 mins add ½ cup water and lid it at least 6-7 mins at a low flame.
- After 7 mins open the lid and again fry all spices at a high flame. Then again add 1 cup of water and add fried fish and lid it for 5 mins. And make a thick gravy. At last finally add coriander leaves. Now it is ready to serve with rice.
